Hard Money Loan Application
Of course, just like a traditional loan, you’re required to fill out an application for a hard money loan. The reason is, it enables us to verify your information which protects you as well as Capella and our Investors.
So, now that you know all you need to decide if a hard money loan is right for you, it’s time to apply. If you still have questions, take some time to learn about hard money loans.

Once you have completed the application or have given us your information, we can begin the approval process. You’ll be happy to know the whole process can be done in a matter of days, and you can have funds in as little as a week!
Items You’ll Need to Provide
It used to be that hard money loans were based on the value or equity in a property. However, the rules for private lending have changed, and now prospective borrowers must provide proof of income.
For us to issue an approval letter, we will need the following items:
- Your last tax return.
- If you are employed, we’ll need your last two pay stubs.
- Copies of W2’s or 1099’s
- You’ll need to show a valid ID.
- We’ll need proof of funds for the down payment and closing costs (bank statement, investment account statement, etc.)
Do You Need An Approval Letter?
Our applicants often come to us needing an approval letter pre-qualifying them for a loan. We understand how important these letters can be to a prospective property buyer, and we’re happy to help.
To issue you a pre-approval letter, we’ll need to gather some basic income information from you. We use this information to determine your ability to repay a loan.
Once we’ve determined you can repay the loan, we’ll provide you with an approval letter. The letter will show your pre-approved status, which you can then give to your agent.
Of course, once you’ve given the approval letter to your agent and are ready to purchase the property, we’d love to help you get the funding. So when we do our intake interview, we’re already looking ahead to help you get a hard money loan!
